Kelly, 1911, records ‘Royal Wiltshire (Prince of Wales’s Own Royal Regiment) Yeomanry (D Squadron), [at] 84 The Mall’ and they are also listed at Bath road.

There was a Drill Hall and Armoury, with offices, in Prospect place. Kelly, 1903, records its use by K and M Companies (and its address as 62 Prospect place). Later, it was used by the 3rd Wessex Brigade, Wiltshire Battery and 3rd Wessex Ammunition Column Royal Field Artillery (Kelly, 1911).

In 1871, an 8,000 sq.ft. drill hall was built for the 190 men of the 11th (Wilts) New Swindon Rifle Corps in The Park cricket field, where the TA Centre now stands. By 1903, this was the drill hall and orderly room for F and G Companies, then later, according to Kelly, 1911, it was used by the Wiltshire (Fortress) Royal Engineers, Works Company and 4th Battalion The Duke of Edinburgh’s (Wiltshire Regiment) (H Co.) and 1st South Western Mounted Brigade Field Ambulance RAMC. It was the Headquarters for A and B sections of the latter.

More specifically the address has been recorded as Church Place, The Park and described as at the end of the park adjoining Park Lane.
