‘5th Battalion, The Queen’s (Royal West Surrey Regiment) (B Co.); head quarters, Drill hall, London road. (Kelly, 1913)

The Times refers to ‘The foundation stone of the new Volunteer Drill-hall at Camberley… laid by the Hon. Frances Wolseley yesterday afternoon in the presence of a large company of spectators’ on Thursday, October 22nd, 1896.

On Thursday, July 11th, 1929, The Times reported that Camberley cadets opened here.

We understand that this drill hall is extant, standing next to St Michael’s Church, London road and would be grateful for photographic confirmation. (2007)
