Kelly's Directories record the drill hall on Middlewich road, but in fact the building is behind the houses and shops which front Middlewich road and is reached by two small passageways; one is Foden's Terrace and the other is adjacent to the chapel. It is inconspicuous, but marked on OS maps of the 1960s.

It seems to have a drill hall and residential accommodation attached to the main building.

The drill hall is used by the Army Cadet Force. [2006]
