2nd Volunteer Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment (F Co.), attached to Market Weighton (Kelly, 1905)

The drill hall is first mentioned in Kelly's Directory of 1921. We did not find reference to it in the 1905 or 1913 Directories, though there were references to the Volunteers.

There was an application for Listed Building Status for the Drill Hall in Barmby Road by Councillor Richard Bryon, and a determined effort was mounted by local people to save the building.

Thank you to Martin Cooper for the photographs.
