Milnsbridge - West Riding

Scar lane

Headquarters, A, B 7 Duke of Wellington’s West Riding Regiment

Built in 1911, the drill hall in Rufford road, off Scar lane at Milnsbridge, has been transformed into the privately owned Bullecourt museum to the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment, We have been told that the premises include the shooting range in the cellar and that the wooden floor still bears the stud marks made by marching men. This building is referred to in Kelly, 1912, as Golcar.
