Kelly, 1891, notes the Sherwood Foresters (Derbyshire Regiment), 2nd Volunteer Battalion (K Company), Matlock Bridge. The Armoury in Wellington street is recorded in Kelly, 1908, in connection with Matlock Detachment of D & E Companies.

It is known that Sherwood Hall in Matlock was a former drill hall; after inquiring with the Derbyshire Dales District Council, we understand that this building dates from the inter-war period and was formerly used as the TA Headquarters. We are grateful for the information.
