Cheadle

Brook Rd

ds 'C' 5 Cheshire

Cheadle Drill Hall is behind the parish church. It adjoined Alcocks the builders and there was a smithy in the same road. The drill hall was built for the Territorials in the 1920's. A local person recalls them using it for drill on Friday nights.

In its recent past, the drill hall was renamed the Village Hall. Currently, it is used by the community for a variety of activities, including a children's play group, meetings of an evangelical church group and various dance classes. (2006)
